Comprehensive PAC Services for Families

Recreation

Physical activity and social participation are key parts of a healthy, balanced life. We design our sports and recreational PAC services to promote inclusion, confidence, and teamwork. The family and team agree that recreational experiences strengthen social bonds and foster lasting personal confidence. Our providers are trained to make recreation both fun and meaningful, creating opportunities for growth in areas such as communication, self-awareness, and cooperation. Each activity is tailored to the person’s interests, abilities, and comfort level

Our recreation-based supports may include:

  • Participating in adaptive sports like basketball, bowling, or swimming.

  • Engaging in walking groups, yoga, or outdoor fitness.

  • Learning the rules of a new sport and how to be part of a team.

  • Visiting local parks, recreation centers, or community events.

  • Practicing social skills, sportsmanship, and emotional regulation.

We know that weekends can be an excellent time for learning and connection. That’s why we offer structured weekend programs and community outings that focus on recreation, independence, and positive peer interaction. Our goal is to create meaningful experiences where youth and young adults learn, socialize, and develop essential life and social skills all while having fun.

Examples of weekend PAC activities include:

  • Visiting the zoo, museums, or community fairs.

  • Attending movie nights, art classes, or game days.

  • Practicing life skills during outings such as ordering food, paying for tickets, or navigating social settings.

  • Volunteering or participating in local community events.

Under the PAC service, Smart Growth Solutions helps youth and young adults succeed academically while also developing strong executive functioning skills. We understand that school success is about more than just homework it’s about motivation, organization, and confidence. We collaborate with families, schools, and case managers to align academic goals with each student’s individualized education plan (IEP) or transition plan. Sessions may take place in the home, community centers, or libraries wherever the student learns best. The family and team agreed that this approach promotes both academic success and lifelong learning habits.

Our academic supports may include:

  • Helping students manage assignments and deadline

  • Organizing materials and developing consistent study habits.

  • Providing one-on-one tutoring in specific subjects.

  • Teaching self-advocacy in communication with teachers.

  • Supporting goal setting and progress tracking.

Academic Guidance and Support

Life Skill Development

We use a hands-on, person-centered approach that lets individuals practice real-life skills in safe, supportive environments at home, in the community, or during structured sessions. Our focus is always on what the individual can do, and how we can build on those abilities to increase confidence and independence. The family and team agree that each step toward independence reflects meaningful progress and lasting growth.

We help individuals gain independence in their everyday routines. This may include:

  • Learning to cook simple meals or follow a recipe.

  • Practicing money management and budgeting.

  • Working on personal organization, cleaning routines, or grocery shopping.

  • Building communication and self-advocacy skills.
